Barolo Vineyard Trail, heading to the Mediterranean Sea
8 days
About this Tour
One of our best bicycle tours!! The Barolo Vineyard Trail snakes its way through Piedmont, Italy’s hidden paradise for wine passionate connoisseurs and gourmets. It runs through the Langhe Area, sweet hills between the Alps and the Apennine mountains, which are blessed by fertile lands that produce the Tube Magnatum, a prized white truffle, and one of Italy’s most prestigious red wines: Barolo. Our tour moves amongst vineyards, pretty medieval villages, and castles. You'll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the food and, of course, the famous wine of the area, exploring unexpected cellars, as the one in the Barolo Castle's basement. From the Langhe, we cross the Tanaro river, discovering a different environment, and the mountains, through magic woods and bike tracks. We reach the Ligurian coast, with its warm temperatures, that lie till the end of November, before starting again in February. Here we can visit some enchanting Middle Age villages along the coast, hiking on the enchanting cliffs and tasting the typical seafood from the Mediterranean Sea.
